Powder coatings
RestoMetal also has a powder coating installation and ovens to provide your parts with a powder coating in various colors.
Steel parts such as rims, parts of wheel suspension, etc. are fist galvanized and then powder coated with an epoxy primer, followed by the desired color. This provides better corrosion resistance, especially if the powder coat where to be chipped slightly.
Galvanizing the part also offers protection to any parts that cannot be powder coated due to press-fit bearing areas.
Alloy rims are first chemically stripped from any paint, and then sandblasted. After this, a primer is applied, followed by the desired color, and optionally an additional clearcoat layer.
Every RAL-color is available as color for powder coating.
